Julia holds degrees in Political Science, History, and Sociology (University of Vienna/Universidad de Granada; Mag.a phil.), Peace, Development, Security and International Conflict Transformation (University of Innsbruck/ Universitat Jaume I de Castelló; M.A.), Media and Communications/ Philosophy (European Graduate School; PhD) and Modern Thought  (University of Aberdeen; PhD).

 

Currently a lecturer at the Vienna Master of Arts in Applied Human Rights at the University of Applied Arts, she has taught, researched and supervised across a dozen universities in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand and the UK, including at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, SFU Berlin, Central European University (Budapest), European Graduate School (Saas-Fee/Valletta) or Ramkhamhaeng University (Bangkok).

 

A curator-coordinator and academic consultant for the animation film festival Tricky Women/Tricky Realities since 2020, she has worked for several art events as well as NGO’s and, in 2023, co-founded graphinnen.at.
